While covid- 19 has thoroughly rained on our 2020 & 2021 travel parade, we like to believe that no matter how dark the storm clouds there’s always a silver lining to be found! Seeing as we’re unable to travel right now, this is the perfect time to plan for when we can.

As such, we at Picture Tanzania Safari are committed to redoubling our efforts, to ensure we help maintain decades of conservation, by encouraging guests to pick Africa as their holiday destination of choice.
To support these efforts, during this uncertain time, we have amended our standard terms and conditions to provide our clients with additional certainty around their future travel, allowing added benefit, should clients be directly impacted by covid – 19.

New bookings made between 25th of December 2020 with a travel date anytime from January 2021 onwards; may cancel the complete Picture Tanzania Safari itinerary that is booked through us, free of charge up to 60 days before your departure and get 100% of your deposit back. This guarantee and amendment is only applicable to an inability to travel due to possible complications associated with covid – 19, such as travel bans and quarantine requirements that may still be in place, preventing travel from taking place.
New Bookings- Maximizing Flexibility
In order to give our guests increased comfort, we will stay flexible with our new rebooking service until 60 days prior to your intended travel date. For new bookings with a departure date Starting in March 2021 onward,made between 25th December 2020,you may rebook your Picture Tanzania Safari itinerary free of charge up to 60 days before your departure (subject to availability).Rebooking is only allowed once atleast 60 days before your planned travel date. Any additional costs incurred due to changes or additions to your itinerary and upgrades to your accommodation, will still apply.

Insurance
Over the years many of us have become complacent when it comes to travel insurance in protecting our holiday investments. While we recognize all travel insurance is limited in respect to coverage for covid – 19, we have adjusted our standard terms and conditions accordingly, to provide our guests coverage. Sufficient travel insurance cover for cancellations or medical emergencies is absolutely essential in fully protecting your holiday investment. Regrettably we are not permitted to offer travel insurance directly. However, we have done the research on your behalf and have excellent recommendations for you, including “any reason” cancellation protection.

Detailed Travel Advisory

1. Flights from India are suspended.
– This does not apply to humanitarian, medevac or repatriation flights.
2. Passengers arriving from India on humanitarian, medevac or repatriation flights are subject to quarantine for 14 days at their own expense.
3. Passengers and airline crew must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before arrival.
4. Passengers are subject to a COVID-19 antigen test upon arrival at their own expense.
5. Passengers must complete a “Traveler’s Surveillance Form” within 24 hours before arrival at https://afyamsafiri.moh.go.tz home and present it to the Port Health Authorities upon arrival.
6. Passengers and airline crew are subject to medical screening.

Detailed Tourist Information
International flights have now resumed. Travellers should be prepared for unexpected travel restrictions to be put into effect with little or no advance notice.

All passengers arriving in Tanzania will be required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate upon arrival. The test should be taken within 72 hours of arrival in Tanzania. All passengers travelling to Tanzania must complete an online Traveller’s Surveillance Form https://afyamsafiri.moh.go.tz. This form must be submitted no more than 24 hours before arrival.

All passengers entering Tanzania will be subjected to enhanced screening for COVID-19 including a mandatory rapid test. The cost for rapid testing is 25 USD per traveller which must be paid in cash on arrival. The Government of Tanzania is also implementing temperature scanning for all international passengers arriving into Tanzania.

Those on transit in other countries for more than 72 hours will be required to be retested by rapid test upon arrival in Tanzania.

Lockdown Details
There are no restrictions on public gatherings or services. Some hotels, bars and restaurants remain closed for the time being. You should continue to practice measures recommended by PHE such as hand washing and social distancing.
